iPad 3G Review

The iPad 3G is now out in the US and Mashable.com has written a comprehensive review here.  It compares the new 3G model with the WIFI only version released earlier this year.

I’m currently deciding which model to purchase when the iPad arrives in the UK.  Is it worth spending an extra £150 to be able to access the 3G network while out and about.  Or should I just rely on free WIFI zones in various outlets like Pret and Starbucks?  I guess it just comes down to what you want to use your iPad for and where and when you consume your mobile data.

This is a really exciting device and I can’t wait to get my hands on one and experience it for myself.  I foresee that this will change the way we consume media and also how we use the internet, as we’ll start to move away from browsers and search engines to using applications which will provide a greater experience than websites which are constrained by browser technology and slow advancing W3C standards.
